Open Source Workshop @openlaws

The project openlaws, which is co-funded by the European Union, aims at increasing usability concerning the search and handling of legal data. This shall be reached for instance through integrating interactive elements and various functionalities.

The registration for the Open Source Workshop, which is free of charge and will take place

on 26.06.2015, at 8.30 am – 3.30 pm,

at the Federal Chancellery Vienna (Bundeskanzleramt Wien),

Foyer at the rooftop – entrance at Minoritenplatz 1, 1010 Vienna,

is open!

According to the preliminary programme, talks and discussions on the following issues are planned:

  • Openlaws – A Legal Service by the Community for the Community
  • The use of open source software in Switzerland
  • An example of open legal data text processing and analysis using open source software
  • Open Source – A legal view on the Dos, Don’ts and Maybes
  • Interaction and interoperability between Creative Commons and open source licences
  • The Apache Way and How it can help Research Projects
  • Spatial, Linked (Open) Data -Theory, Practice & Problems
