The apps4austria contest is Austria’s first country-wide open government data competition.
There are 15,000 € in prizes to win. The winners will be selected by a jury. The challenge is open until March 1st 2013.
New, innovative and user-friendly applications, visualisations and concepts based on open government data are wanted. The competition is open to everyone who has ideas on open data.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
• web- and mobile applications (apps)
• concepts and ideas
The competition is organised by Plattform Digitales:Österreich (PDÖ) in collaboration with the Cooperation Open Government Data (COGD). Scientific partner for apps4austria is the Centre for E-Governance at Danube University Krems.
Foreign developers are kindly invited. Please don’t forget to use at least one Austrian open government data set.
